Secure Communications

Communication  with your therapist needs to be private, secure, and confidential with as much privacy as is readily available in an app. Texting with iMessage or regular texting is not secure.

So to promote both added security and privacy in any texting communications with your therapist, I suggest downloading an app called Signal from your app store. Go through the setup process and then you can enter in your therapist's phone number given in your session. 

Pathways Pastoral Counseling will now recommend  using the Signal APP for protecting conversations with your therapist. This app is free at no additional cost to you. This app is both HIPPA compliant and encrypted.
